When Comicon started and then Cosplay and even when Anime characters became Halloween characters, no one thought that the actual Anime Wigs would be such an important part of the costume.
Anime Wigs can be made out of natural hair collected from salons, barbers and hairdressers but mostly made of synthetic hair to make it easier to shape, style and dye.
Gone are the days or Trekkies just using a rubber mask or face paint or uniform as this new Anime scene as not more than just complicated characters but their supporters and portrayers in costume are more serious in representing them in the right way from foot to hair tip. no matter how high the hair might be and the only way to do the hair is Anime Wigs, but the perfect matching one of course, as there would be nothing worse than coming to a Cosplay festival and or event and you got the wrong wig for the wrong character of no wig even worse with your own funny shaped head or hair!
Anime which is based n the Japanese comic scene is unlike the United States Comic book scene or hero.
I the Unites, for example, Marvel heroes you can just wear a homemade costume and that’s it or buy one and change nothing else, whereas when it comes to the Japanese anime scene whether a comic book or film production every little detail counts even the color of the eyes of the characters, size of the body and the wig.
The biggest reasons for these differences in the USA vs Japan characters which makes the wig important are as follows:
IN THE USA COMIC SCENE OR CHARACTER YOU KNOW WHO IS GOOD AND BAD BY THE COSTUME!- – but in Japanese Anime, the hair plays more of an important role between a good and A bad character, as per the color, design and even being able to do things like move and fight
IN THE USA COMIC SCENE OR CHARACTER YOU CAN SEE IMMEDIATELY WHO IS MALE OR FEMALE!- – but in Japanese Anime, here also the wig can fool you, as men might have long hair and woman either none or short or even vice versa, it is all a combination of the character, the costume the wig and the story.
