Global Wifi Pass Vs 4G Internet

Many of us can’t function without an Internet connection. We find ourselves going online multiple times a day even when we’re on the road. We need to check social media, breaking news, weather updates, traffic alerts, market movements, work emails, chat messages, and so on. This doesn’t really stop when we travel in different countries. In fact, we probably feel the need to stay connected even more to bridge the distance from our loved ones. The Web is also a great source of info when we get stumped in our explorations. The question is: should you use a global WiFi pass or 4G Internet for this?

Unlimited Downloads

It’s definitely nice to have 4G in your pocket as you can connect to the Web anytime as long as you can get a cellphone signal. The problem is that this is usually extremely expensive. Usage is metered either by data or by time and the rates can be astronomical. This limits the kinds of activities that you can do. If you are just browsing for bits of information, then that’s more than fine. However, streaming music, browsing hi-res images, or watching videos can gobble up your allotment fast. Wi-Fi, on the other hand, allows unlimited downloads and uploads so you can surf all you want all day.

Faster Speeds

There is no denying that mobile Internet speeds have improved by leaps and bounds over the years. The advancements from 2G to 3G to 4G has been profound. In the past, a small image would take forever to load. Now, we can watch clips on our phones with ease. However, activities like binge-watching our favorite shows on full HD or higher will require faster speeds. The viewing experience will be better if we use a Wi-Fi connection since that would mean smooth playback. For content creators, this would also cut down on upload time.

Stable Connections

4G networks are not the most stable. The signal strength can fluctuate a lot even if you just move a little because of the underlying technology. You could be having a great time browsing one moment and lose the connection for no reason at all. You can’t always control it. Wi-Fi is a lot more stable. It has been around longer and has constantly improved as well in terms of range, stability, and speed. If you want uninterrupted voice or video calls, then this is the way to go.

Try a global WiFi pass and you will never look back.
