• Complete the necessary coursework from any business analysis institution endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Here, ensure you complete 35 hours of professional development to be eligible for the CBAP exam.

• Submit an online application to sit for the exam. While at it, ensure you enter your work history and professional development hours in the spaces provided.

• Once your application is approved, pay the exam fee and schedule the exam within one year from the approval date.

• Prepare for the exam by adequately reading all the knowledge areas stipulated in the BABOk guide. This is because passing the exam is mandatory for you to get certified.

• Sit for the exam and pass. Take note that you can either sit for a written exam or complete it online depending on your convenience. Additionally, the International Institute of Business Analysis allows sitting for the CBAP exam up to three times within one year.
