It starts at 1100 meters above sea level and goes up to 2350 meters for a total elevation change of 1250 meters. There are 17 ski lifts to assist people in getting to the top. Next is the Marbach — Marbachegg resort which goes from a low of 885 meters to a high of 1500 meters for a total elevation change of 615 meters. The total distance of the slopes is 10 kilometers. Although the peaks are not as tall and the slopes are not as long, this resort offers a great experience for those trying to learn how to ski. There are 4 ski lifts in the area. Entry fee is much lower at 35 euros.

Rigi sits between Lucerne and Schwyz. It has slightly less slopes than Marbach at 9km total. The elevation change is also minor at just 437 meters since the resort starts higher at 1315m and tops at 1752m. Despite this, the resort is a favorite among beginners as the gentle slopes can provide them with hours of fun without worries. There are 7 ski lifts. The fee is 45 euros.

Smaller resorts can also be found if you want to be away from the crowds. They don’t have much in terms of slope length and elevation but they are cheaper to get to and are quite decent as well.
