Vail, Colorado is an intimate magical town known more for fly fishing, skiing, mountain biking and hiking among other outdoor activities. About to add a new title on its collar, Vail is slowly becoming famous for being the worlds’ best place for destination weddings. The climate here is a bit different from what you may be used to in the cities. But if you have a sense of good timing, you can have the most pocket-friendly yet vivacious wedding.
So, when is the right time to choose vail wedding venues?
1. Winter or Spring Season
In Vail, winter and spring seasons are the same. If you want to have a wedding in the mountains with the snow as your backdrop, then you will love this place. The best time to choose a wedding venue would be during the month of March and April when the snow is thickest but the temperatures are conducive and warm. Evenings are graced with magnificent sunsets that will bring a sense of uniqueness on your wedding photos.
If you want the best rates for a winter or spring destination wedding, book your wedding venues mid to late November, early December, January or February. You can get some good rates for March and April too but on condition that your wedding doesn’t coincide with the Easter holidays when it is more expensive to find a vail wedding venue.
2. Summer Season
During summer, the snow is mostly gone and the Colorado Mountains come to life. The resorts are bouncing with activities as people come to experience life away from city life. During summer, the temperatures don’t go past 80 degrees, which is just what you need to for your wedding to be perfect.
If you want to wed during the summer season, July is the best time. Almost everywhere is covered in green with the most colorful wildflowers sprouting left, right and center. The mountains are capped with a little bit of snow at the peaks which works as an incredibly attractive background for your photos.
During summer, there’s an influx of visitors from all over the world who frequent Vail and its environs looking to take part in the annual festivals. This means that wedding venues charge significantly higher rates compared to other seasons. If you want to save a little, make your wedding venue bookings in late May, mid-June or late August.
3. The Fall Season
With fewer visitors, the fall season is perfect for a quiet, intimate destination wedding. During this time, almost all the visitors have left, summer is over, and the ground is covered with foliage from beautiful flowers and trees in preparation for winter. September and mid-October make the best times to book your wedding venue. You and your guests will still get to enjoy different types of outdoor activities as you would in summer. The prices are the most affordable during fall.
You want your guests to enjoy your wedding without getting distracted? It is advisable to check the local events calendar before booking your venue to access fair rates and to avoid booking at the same time when a series of festivals are scheduled to happen.
