Do you admire entertainment professionals with their flawless makeup? Very few people can afford to have their own makeup artist, but if you want to achieve a soft natural look during the day and a richer dramatic look for evenings out, follow these tips.
Cleansing Your Skin
Before you apply any makeup, be sure your skin is clean. Remove leftover foundation before applying new. Use a cleanser that doesn’t contain alcohol to dry your skin. Mild products include simple ingredients and provide a gentle cleansing for your face. When washing, use a soft circular motion with your fingers. Start with your neck, and continue up your face using counterclockwise motion. Follow with a gentle exfoliating scrub, and use the same circular motion. Use warm water to rinse your face and neck, and pat dry with a soft towel.
Apply Serum and Moisturizer
The facial serum you choose should contain both vitamin C and sodium hyaluronate. The combination adds long-lasting moisture to your skin. Apply small dots of serum with the tip of one finger and gently blot it in to your face and neck. Your moisturizer should contain SPF 15 or higher to protect your skin from harmful rays.
Apply Foundation
Choose from a liquid, cream, or powder foundation. Use a brush to evenly apply the foundation to your skin as a base for the rest of your makeup. Select a color as close to your natural skin tone as possible. Be careful to blend it in around the hairline and earlobes. You can use fingertips to apply liquid foundation.
Brighten Your Face
Uneven skin tones can be hidden by adding a dot of concealer on the dark areas under your eyes, comers of eyes, top and bridge of nose, and around your mouth. Lightly tap the concealer onto your skin.
Add Some Blush
Adding blush to your cheeks creates contour. Choose the best color for your skin tone. Use a large brush to apply blush to the “apples” in your cheeks, and a smaller brush to create contours under your cheekbones. Apply blush lightly so it blends seamlessly with your foundation.
Eyebrows
If your eyebrows are not as full as you would like, select a pencil or powder that is similar to your natural color. Make small strokes (hairlike) to outline the edges of your brow, following the direction your hair grows. Once the outline is done, fill in the center of the brow with the same hairlike strokes. You can use a brow gel to keep them fresh-looking all day. Use a darker brow color for nighttime drama.Get the best from Gold Coast Eyebrows.
Mascara and Shadow
Apply mascara lightly to avoid clumping. Use natural color for daytime and dramatic blue with gold tones for evenings out. Repeat with a second or third application if necessary.
Eyeshadow is best applied with a brush. The main color should only go on the eyelid, and a lighter shade can go under the eyebrow to create highlights. Metallic colors catch the light and look great when you are dressed up.
When you take a little extra time to apply makeup properly, you’ll be delighted with the fresh look you have all day. Follow the tips, and even your friends will love how you look.
