Miami Pool Remodeling Tips

If your swimming pool at home is showing its age, then consider hiring a Miami pool remodeling company to give it new life. A few changes can make a big difference without costing too much. Here are a few ideas for you to consider:

Add LED Lights

Swimming at night can be a relaxing activity. You’re done with your work for the day and you have hours to kill before you go to bed. Indulge by dipping in the pool by yourself or with your loved ones. You can make it safer and more pleasant by adding a few LED lights at strategic locations. These underwater lighting fixtures will make the water glow and create a beautiful effect. It will also be easier to see when you are swimming and need check once in a while if you’re going in the right direction.

Install an Automatic Leveler

Water level varies throughout the day. This is especially true during the summer when the heat can cause massive evaporation around noon time. You can keep checking to see if it goes under a certain amount and then get the pump working again to add more water. However, this is a bit of an inconvenience and you can’t realistically monitor your pool all the time. You could instead make the process automatic by installing an advanced sensor that will do the checking for you. Let this adjust the water line according to your settings.

Resurface the Deck

The deck should be both functional and decorative. It must prevent slippage even when wet to reduce the risk of accidents. It should also look good since this will essentially frame the pool and be included in all the photos. You can choose from a wide variety of materials. Among the most popular ones is travertine which is highly absorbent and thus moisture does not remain too long on its surface. This keeps the deck cool to the touch even on hot days. You can walk on it without feeling burned unlike other stones. If you don’t have the budget for it, then consider getting a new anti-slip and protective coating for your existing deck.

Build a Mini Bar or Grill

It would be nice to invite guests over for a pool party. Set things up nicely by building a mini bar on the side of the pool where your friends can get their drinks. You could also have a grill or small outdoor kitchen right there for barbecues and the like. There’s no need to keep going back inside the house. Eat and drink when you feel like it, then swim if the water is calling you.
