What Is OSSA Training Edmonton

OSSA training is a requirement for OSSA members work sites. The training provides knowledgeable information on how to handle work site related hazards. The various training that includes; OSSA BSO, OSSA fall protection training, OSSA confined space entry/monitor, OSSA elevated work platforms, and OSSA fire watch are available on-site. Participates provide the training where the training takes place. The courses involve; instruction led presentations, practical exercises, class discussions, DVD presentations, written knowledge tests and practical exams. Participants are made knowledgeable and well vast in the safety measures they need to take while on job sites. Once you are done with the course, you should be conversant with legislation and standards about whatever course you took.

1. OSSA BSO

This course takes four hours thirty minutes to complete. Taking the course makes you conversant with general the critical safety initiatives. You are required to get 80% of the testing to get a credential card. Contractors come with materials and computer equipment to deliver the course. The facility provided should have power and enough space for conducting the training.

2. OSSA Fall Protection

OSSA Training Edmonton provides a fall protection course that takes eight hours to complete. As a participant, successful completion of the course means that you can demonstrate proficiency in;
• Eliminating fall hazards
• Rescue and escape planning
• Fall protection system components
• Impact force and fall clearance

3. OSSA Elevated Work Platform

Before you take up this course, you should be able to provide proof of having completed OSSA fall protection training. OSSA Training Edmonton delivers this course on-site, and it takes up to eight hours. Instructors come with fall protection equipment to the facility that should have power and enough space to conduct practical. You are required to have safety glasses, toed boots and a hard hat for the training. Completing the course allows you to be well conversed with working from heights, load limitations, and calculations, and safely operating an elevated work platform in your field.

4. OSSA Confined Space Entry/Monitor

This course takes six hours and is delivered on-site. The facility you provide should have power and enough space to conduct the training session comfortably. Contractors come with materials necessary for the course and computer equipment. Successful completion of the course makes you knowledgeable, and you can demonstrate proficiency in;
• Confined space entry preparation and monitor responsibilities
• Gas testing requirements and elements of hazardous atmospheres

5. OSSA Fire Watch

The fire watch training takes four hours and is delivered on-site. The facility is required to have power and have enough space to conduct the training session. Contractors come with computer equipment and other materials necessary for the course. Successful completion of the course makes you knowledgeable in matters related to fire hazards and precautions you are required to take.
