Communication prevents small changes from being missed. An athlete should report whether pain appeared during a drill, whether technique deteriorated with fatigue, and whether stiffness changed after sleep.
The clinician can then alter range, repetitions, speed, rest periods, or the order of exercises instead of abandoning the whole programme.
Coaches may also need a clear description of permitted running, contact, serving, or jumping during the interim stage. This approach keeps training specific while capacity is rebuilt and reduces the chance that a promising improvement is followed by an abrupt return to the exact workload that caused trouble.
