Where To Use Frosted Perspex Cut To Size

Acrylic sheets are incredibly versatile materials that are used in thousands of applications. There are various types of panels for special purposes. For example, there are frosted Perspex cut to size for projects that value privacy, light diffusion, and visual effects. The frosted surface allows light to pass through but it obscure the image behind the panel. This is unlike the typical clear glossy sheets that act like see-through glass. Customers are able to have the sheets cut according to their specifications for ease of assembly once the items have been delivered. Just send a CAD file or any other acceptable format containing the exact dimensions.

Lighting Fixtures

This material works amazingly well for anything that plays around with light. For example, you can use it for making lampshades, lighting fixtures, and other types of nighttime décor. Let the frosted panels diffuse light from the source such that the rays bounce all across the room. This softens the illumination, making it possible to look directly at the source without wincing. It is great for lampshades as you want to prevent over-stimulating the eyes past bedtime.

Office Signs

You can also use it for office signs in conjunction with other panels of different colors and surface treatments. Have the company name etched on the glass and post the sign at a prominent spot in the office. Multiple layers of colored panels can also be used and even the text may be cut out from sheets and placed on the foreground to create a 3D effect. Put spotlights in front or light it up from behind. Let this sign welcome the visitors who will surely be impressed with the elegant design and execution.

Bathroom Dividers

Housing units are getting smaller these days with the cost of properties continuing to rise. Bathrooms are often becoming difficult to fit it. However, there are still ways to make this tiny space feel large and pleasant. Paint the walls white and open it up to natural light if possible. If you are going to divide the bathroom area from the rest of the room, use a frosted acrylic panel which is moisture-resistant and translucent. It is also thin enough not to make a dent on the tiny footprint.

Balcony Railings

If you are designing a balcony, consider replacing the traditional metal or wood railings with frosted Perspex. It is strong enough to withstand impact so safe is not an issue. It can let light in so the space won’t get dark despite being protected from all sides. You will also get more privacy because people can’t see through from the other side.
