Escape Rooms For Kids

There is no reason why adults should get all of the fun. Even kids want to play in escape rooms for kids and see what these are all about. However, parents may not be keen on letting their children step into the typical rooms as these tend to tackle gory subjects. Some will even have scary interiors by design. There are kids who might find all of these exciting but others might be shocked and scared by what they’ll see. The puzzles are also quite difficult such that regular kids might not be able to understand them yet. Fortunately, there are dedicated escape rooms for kids.

Wholesome Stories

These spaces provide background stories that are wholesome and amusing. Instead of the typical missing person or murder mystery, you might see stories about missing cats that the children will have to look for. The characters will be those that kids can relate to. There won’t be any dark clouds hovering over them. They will understand the mission and work quickly to complete it from instinct.

Fun Décor

There won’t be any dank and dirty rooms here. There are no creepy props that would make kids scream or cry. Instead, they will find an amazing bright room filled with color and graphics. The décor will be fun for them to see and experience. There may even be toys around the room for them to play with. Of course, these items might contain the clues that they are looking for if they paid attention.

Safe Set-up

The setup will consider the needs and the safety of the players. In this case, the children will be playing in an environment that is designed to reduce the risk of accidents or other mishaps. The floor might be covered in foam tiles like a play pen. At the very least, the clues are placed near the ground where the children can easily reach for them. They won’t have to climb up high or take other risks. If you are concerned about this, then call the establishment beforehand to ask their specific safety measures before bringing your children since these can differ greatly between rooms.

Kid-friendly Puzzles

Each escape room will specify the age range that it is suitable for. Some might be best for older children from 9 to 12. Others are better for teens. A few might cater to younger kids. Make sure to check these so that the children won’t have problems adapting to their environment. The puzzles will be age-appropriate as well including the choice of words, graphics, and storytelling.
