Importance Of Brand Storytelling Class

If you are a marketer, a brand storytelling class can teach you how to promote a brand better. If you are an entrepreneur, this class can teach you how to create your own brand story to attract more consumers. If you are a consumer, it can help you discern if the brand or product is worth your time and money.

Brand storytelling classes teach us that every brand story must be different because each person perceives what makes a great story. However, there are some similarities in the best brands stories like; showing courage despite obstacles, taking risks but enjoying life’s rewards at the end of the day (or battle), showing resilience in the face of challenges, etc.,

These common themes make people remember brands because these stories mirror real-life experiences. The idea behind telling is to put yourself in the consumer’s shoes and find out what makes them tick.

Then, you can mold your brand story based on their needs, desires, and aspirations. The whole idea of storytelling is to capture people’s attention quickly and help them relate to your brand right away. It could be through humor or by relating a personal experience that they have gone through, which could be similar to an experience that your brand will give them if they purchase it.

Below are examples of brands whose storytelling class has helped promote their products:

“Nike- Just do it” campaign advocates for people to go out there and pursue their dreams because everything is possible as long as you work hard enough for it; This encourages active people like athletes and workout buffs to continue working out and achieve their dreams.

“Why buy the cow when you can enjoy the milk for free?” This P&G campaign seeks to promote its laundry detergent Ariel which takes an opposite approach from Nike’s philosophy; Instead of promoting active people who go after what they want, it tells consumers that if you are lazy and always look for shortcuts in life, you will end up like Cinderella without a fairy godmother (in this case – a successful guy to take her away).

The idea is not to compare or choose between these two campaigns but rather to show how brand storytelling helps brands engage with different kinds of consumers by giving them a unique product story that matches their unique needs.
