It’s that time of the year again: Isle of Wight Festival! This three-day event is a celebration of music and arts. You’ll find everything from indie, folk, and rock to dance electronic, and hip-hop. This festival is one for people who love live music — especially those who want to avoid the crowds at other festivals like Glastonbury or Coachella.
If you’re heading there for the first time this year (or even if it’s your fourth), here are 3 tips to help you have an awesome experience!
One:
This festival has a variety of stages with different genres playing all day long: make sure you know which stage will be most interesting for you. If you want to enjoy some of the best indie music, head over to the festival stage.
Two:
The Isle of Wight offers plenty for foodies! To avoid long queues get your lunch in advance at one of the festival’s many catering stalls or restaurants dotted around the festival site. It does take a while to walk from place to place so it is worth getting your snacks and drinks before heading into more popular stages like Isle Of Wight main stage where big artists will be playing their sets!
Three:
The last tip would be if possible bring an inflatable mattress (air bed) with you rather than sleeping on the ground because there are no showers available after security checks where you’re required to take off your shoes and remove all metal objects before entering the festival site.
Here are three reasons why you should go to the festival:
The first reason is that Isle of Wight is an incredible festival experience. It has a great selection of food and beverages that are all reasonably priced, it also hosts good vendors for clothing or accessories if you’re looking to look your best at the festival site.
The second reason why the Isle of Wight is such a great music event would be because there’s always something going on throughout each day from midday until midnight! There’s never a dull moment in between sets because Isle of wight boasts multiple stages located around the area which will guarantee nonstop entertainment no matter where you go within the festival site.
Thirdly, its easy access by public transportation makes this destination even more accessible because Isle of White train station only requires a short walk from where the festival is located.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind before you go and each one may seem small but could have a big impact on your experience while enjoying the festival!
Firstly, Isle of White train station isn’t exactly close by so it’s best to take advantage of the free travel that many festivals offer for those who use public transportation or cycling. If you’re driving into Isle Of wight town center expect traffic jams because this part of England has limited access roads which can get congested during major events such as Isle of Wight Festival.
Be sure to plan ahead when travelling around the island and check out alternative routes beforehand just in case.
