Not everyone thrives inside the gym. For some, being cooped up inside an air-conditioned room while you sweat with equipment is not very appealing. They end up wasting their membership privileges by skipping workouts and so they never really achieve their goals. Perhaps they might do better with a change in venue. They can go outside in any area they prefer and go their workouts there. If they need a bit of help and guidance, then they can always hire an outdoor personal trainer in Sydney. Trainers can evaluate their condition and design a logical training plan that will help their achieve the results they want. Here are a few types of activities that can be incorporated in the plan:
Trail Running
A lot of people run around the city trying to lose weight or perhaps beat their PR in a race. However, many succumb to injuries before they are able to accomplish their mission. Trainers will be able to figure out what you were doing wrong and make the necessary corrections for an injury-proof body. They can also achieve that PR or lose that weight through consistent training. If you have gotten tired of running on pavement, then you can try being close to nature with trail running. This will be lower impact on your joints while providing new stimuli to other muscle groups thanks to the ever-changing terrain.
Calisthenics
We go back to the old definition of calisthenics which is exercise with minimal equipment — perfect for outdoor training. You can rely purely on your own bodyweight for resistance and gain tremendous strength this way. Multiple muscles groups can be engaged at the same time leading to efficient workout routines. Examples include push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups. There are some parks with facilities that are ideal for this purpose. They have soft grass for you to lie down on and monkey bars to hang onto. With a bit of creative thinking, you should be able to perform a wide range of exercises with ease.
Outdoor Sports
It is also possible to engage in some of the more popular sports in an outdoor setting. Sweat it out while having fun with your group of friends, under the guidance of your personal trainer. For example, beach volleyball is much harder than it looks. The sand constantly shifts beneath your feet, forcing you to improve your proprioception. You will need to run across the court since there are only two of you to cover the ball, unlike indoor volleyball which has 6 players at any given time. You will have to jump several time when you attack or block, which should enhance your leg strength and cardiovascular fitness.
