History of the Russian River Brewery
A trendsetter in the business of beers, the Brewery was initially not into the beer business as it is today. It was winery that was the brainchild of Korbel Champagner Cellars launched in 1997. The winemakers have a passion for starting a brewery and were expert homebrewers. Vinnie Cilurzo, one of the leading workers for the Korbel Champagner Cellars, was dealing with the Brewery.
In 2002 the Korbel decided to close the Brewery that put Vinnie out of a job. However, Vinnie had a passion for the business. He wanted to continue with the work, and along with his wife, he raised more than $1 million. The Brewery opened its door again in 2004.
Russian River Brewery Today
The brewpub in Santa Rosa, Calif is a popular attraction that brings thousands of people to the pub. One of the main attractions of the Russian River Brewery is the annual draw of its strongly hopped triple IPA, the Pliny the Younger. The Pliny boost top sales and is the favorite of locals as well as visitors. People come from all over the world to visit the Brewery. The brewer was also the trendsetter of introducing new beers. Some of the beers they make that are still a crowd puller. These include the Belgian style beers, barrel-aged beer and some hot favorites like the Pediococcus.
Russian River Beers
Unlike traditional Brewery that makes the same beers multiple times, the Russian River does not bring weekly or monthly releases of the same beers. They have a limited year-round release of two popular IPAs. They have Pliny the Elder, Blind Pig IPA, and STS Pilsner. All come in rotational and limited release. They have kept the distribution tight with the main channels in parts of Colorado, California, and Pennsylvania. However, all the real fun is at the brewpub itself where the visitors can have the beer on tap or drink the bottles.
The Russian River Brewery is growing in popularity and thus is aiming for more expansion plans. This new expansion plan will allow the beer enthusiasts to try the famous barrel-aged beer or to go for the famous Pliny. Other Breweries are riling up competition for the business. However, they are not matching up to the popularity of the Russian River.
People love the Brewery for many years, and the signature offering has a strong following for a long time.
