Plan Tomorrow’s Work Today

We all know that writing a “to do” list will boost productivity but many people do not use these lists the right way. You can boost productivity if you just write a list of tomorrow’s tasks the previous night. Now, this is not just a list. It is your plan for tomorrow’s work. Arrange the tasks in the right order and allot specific times to each task. Follow this list religiously and you will complete all the tasks on your list.

Do not Multi-Task

These days, many experts talk about multi-tasking. The problem here is that multi-tasking is bad for productivity. Technically, humans are not wired to multi-task. From the perspective of productivity, multi-tasking is a euphemism for an organized distraction. When you multi-task, your attention is divided and you cannot concentrate on one thing at a time. The smart move is to single-task. Concentrate on one thing at a time. Complete one task and move on to the next one.

Switch of Your Mobile Devices

You cannot be productive if you are constantly distracting yourself. When it is time to work, you should work without distraction. Turn off your mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices. Concentrate on the job at hand and give it your undivided attention. When you have finished your work, you can take a break and play with your mobile devices.

Sleep Well

Do not stay up all night when you have work to do the next day. Sleep deprivation affects concentration and productivity. Make a conscious effort to sleep early every night. You need enough rest and quality sleep every night. This way, you are ready to face the challenges of the next working day.
