Por su parte, el estado T7451 provee una mejor resistencia a la SCC, una buena exfoliación y una excelente resistencia en niveles ligeramente inferiores de fuerza. Sin embargo, las características de dureza y resistencia a la corrosión de la chapa de aluminio 7050 son muchísimo mejores que las de la aleación de la 7075. La 7050 tiene la cualidad de ser menos sensible que la gran mayoría de las aleaciones de aluminio pensadas para la industria aeroespacial.
