How To Choose A Car Polisher

Cars may look stunning at the showroom, but they can quickly lose the appeal due to dirt and dust. The shiny coat will soon be replaced by an unflattering exterior. Owners can turn back the time by cleaning their vehicle once in a while. Doing this by hand can be time-consuming so use a car polisher instead. Just remember to consider these factors when shopping for one:

Weight

You will be holding this for a lengthy period as you go around your car. If the polisher is extremely heavy, then you will quickly get tired. It should make the task easier, not harder. Look for something that is compact and lightweight. Four pounds is a good figure for the current products on the market. Note that adding a side handle is possible but this would slightly increase the weight.

Speed Control

Some cars just need a gentle wipe. Others have problem areas that require a bit more muscle. These variations call for a tool that can be adjusted on the fly. Look for a product that has built-in speed control. The newest models now come with digital control with a display that shows the exact number of revolutions per minute. Changing the settings is as easy as pressing a button.

Ergonomic

The tool should be comfortable to hold. Check out the grip of the main handle. Does it have a contoured shape to fit a hand well? Are the grooves and nonslip material to prevent falls? Is the speed control within reach of the thumb for one-handed operation? See if there are additional handles in case you want two-handed operation. This could be located at the top or at the side.

Cable Length

This might seem like a trivial concern but you will appreciate its importance once you begin using the tool. The length of the cable should be long enough to allow freedom of movement while you make your way across the car’s exterior. While it is possible to get an extension wire, it would be much better if the tool itself came with a long lead. Four meters would be excellent.

Storage Case

All that wire that quickly become a tangled mess if it is not properly stored. Find a tool that comes with its own storage box. A hard shell is preferable to a soft bag as the former offers greater protection for the tool. You can be more confident when storing it away or traveling with it to other places. If you are looking for a product that has all these, then check out the Dodo Juice Polisher.
